1952
Filia A/S was started by Poul Werner Sørensen Snr, B.Sc.Econ. and Graduate Engineer.
He formulated the Filia Oil Crayons and modeling materials, actually developed the machinery to make them, supervised the manufacture and managed the sales.
1956
Filia Oil Pastels were introduced and Svend Aage Skov joined the company as sales manager. In succeeding years the Company developed other industrial products moving into larger premises in 1964.
1966
Following rapid expansion, the Company exhibited for the first time at the Nuremburg International Toy Fair.
1972
Jan Skov, the son of Svend Aage Skov joined Filia, first as a trainee to eventually become sales manager and in ....
1982 Poul W. Sørensen Jnr. with financial sector training also joined to take over daily operations of the factory. During this period further expansion took place with specialist waxes being produced in conjunction with the Technical University of Denmark for the metal industries.
1985
Svend Aage Skov died and his son Jan took over his 50% shareholding with continued responsibility for world-wide sales. The following year the Company again moved for more space where it is currently located at Olsted.
1996
Poul W. Sørensen Snr retired, allocating his 50% shareholding to Poul Sørensen Jnr who also assumed the managing directorship. From the previous decade the Company had continued to expand with special developments for industry as well as art and in particular making seed fixation blocks for the major Danish brewing industry.
2002
Jan Skov died on May 22nd, and subsequently his shareholding was aquired by Poul Sørensen Jnr, who became the sole propietor of Filia A/S.
2002
This was also the jubilee year for the Company on 17 June.
2006
Filia's former Sales Manager Annelise Jørgensen buys the company and takes over 1st of November.
